A corneal abrasion has been keeping away me from my blogging as the computer screen strains my eyes, and I will continue to be away for a couple of more days. Oil has crossed $130 even as OPEC members refuse to increase supplies, claiming that the world supplies of oil were currently sufficient and this price rise is only due to speculation. Asian markets were mixed, rattled by rising commodity prices.
Meanwhile, the Indian equity markets showed some weakness on Tuesday, presumably from inflation concerns, but recovered some ground today with the mid and small caps faring better than the large caps. Oil & gas and metals are the stocks of interest in today's trading session.
Market breadth closed positive with around 1806 advancing to 1111 declining stocks on the BSE and 741 advancing to 420 declining stocks on the NSE. Total market turnover crossed Rs 61,800 crores.
